1)How much is the guaranteed cash payments payable to Policy Owners?

2nd , 4th , 6th , 8th , 10th Year  : 6% of Basic Sum Assured
12th , 14th , 16th , 18th , 20th Year : 8% of Basic Sum Assured
22nd , 24th , 26th , 28th , 30th Year  : 10% of Basic Sum Assured

2) How much is the premium?
The premium payable depends on your entry age, basic sum assured, policy term and premium
payment term option selected. Unisex rates and blended rates will be applicable for both smoker
and non-smokers.

3)Is the premium guaranteed to be the same throughout the policy term?
Yes, the premium is guaranteed and shall remain unchanged throughout the policy term.

4) Does this Policy pay bonus or dividend?
Yes. HLA Promise is a PARTICIPATING plan and the Policy participates in the surplus of the
Company in the form of Cash Dividends, Terminal Dividend and Special Terminal Dividend.

5. Is the bonus or dividend declarable guaranteed?
No. The bonus or dividend payable is non-guaranteed and will depend on the investment
performance and operating experience of the Company’s par fund.

6) What is the minimum and maximum sum assured that I can sign up?

MIN : Basic Sum Assured (RM) 20,000  MAX : Subject to Underwriting

7) Can a foreigner enroll for this Policy?
Yes, subject to the existing Foreigner guidelines.

8) Can I own more than one HLA Promise Policy?
Yes, subject to underwriting approval.

9) Can I surrender the Policy at anytime before the Maturity Date?
Yes, you may. If the Policy is surrendered prior to maturity, the Policy Owner is entitled to the
guaranteed surrender value as illustrated in the Surrender Value Table in the policy contract,
Accumulated Cash Payments (if any), Accumulated Cash Dividends (if any) and Terminal Dividend
(if any).

10) Upon maturity of the Policy, what would I be receiving?
Upon maturity, you are entitled to a maturity benefit equivalent to the sum of Basic Sum Assured,
Accumulated Cash Payments (if any), Accumulated Cash Dividends (if any) and Terminal Dividend
(if any).

11) What are the available premium payment methods?
Policy owner can pay via cash, cheque, credit card or direct debit.

12) What happens if I stop paying premiums?
After the grace period of 30 days, your accumulated cash payments (if any) and accumulated cash
dividends (if any) will be used to offset for the premiums due. After both are exhausted or in the
event there are no accumulated cash payments or accumulated cash dividends left, if the Policy has
acquired surrender value, an amount equivalent to the premium due will be automatically advanced
as premium loan.

13) Does the policy entitle me for any tax relief?
This policy may qualify you for the personal tax relief or relief under Education Policy (provided fulfill
requirement as detailed in IRB”s Publing Ruling : 2/2005) subject to final decision of the Inland
Revenue Board Malaysia.

A general waiting period of 30 days is applicable for Critical Illness. For Selected Illness
specified below; a waiting period of 60 days shall apply.

(c) Coronary artery disease requiring surgery
